Ray Whitfield has counted returning salmon on this stretch of river since 2007.

Twenty minutes of rain at the boat launch. This is the two-minute edit.

Transcripts

Ray Whitfield: People assume there is a machine for this. There is. It is me.
Interviewer: Nineteen seasons. Do you remember the first one?
Ray: I remember the notebook. Green cover. I still have it.

Sample transcript. Replace this with a transcript of your own recording — it makes your work usable by people who are deaf or hard of hearing, and it makes it searchable.

[Twenty seconds of rain on open water. No speech.]
Narration: Day four at the boat launch. Nobody came. We stayed anyway.

Sample transcript. For a recording with no speech, describe what a listener would hear.

Adding your own audio

Add an Audio block, upload an MP3 or M4A file, and type a caption underneath. Put the transcript in an accordion — the Standard block with accordion pattern in the Patterns library does exactly this — so the page stays short but nothing is hidden from anyone who needs to read it. Keep files under the upload limit shown on the Media screen; if a recording is long, split it into parts.
