A TRU Journalism project

Arts & Culture for the City

For the students and city with the brightest culture.

About Us

A group of four students looking into the local arts scene in Kamloops from various perspectives. With diverse backgrounds, our aim is to contribute to the journalism industry with compelling stories that bring the creative landscape of Kamloops closer to young people in the community.

Meet the team

Four students, three categories.

Domenica Randich

Multimedia journalist, Civil Art News

A focused writer telling colourful stories through writing, photography, audio and video.

Aiming to reach the hidden individual and corners the Kamloops art community knows well, Domenica will inform this platform audience with close-attention to detail, precision and creatively.

Shanti I. Lindskog

Multimedia Journalist, Creative Expression

An aspiring writer interested in hearing and sharing how the young artists and creatives of Kamloops find inspiration. With an angle on  expressions of identity, these stories will hopefully push the limits of creative liberty in Kamloops.

Harnoop Heyer

Multimedia Journalist, Creative Expression

Harnoop is a second year English student from Kamloops. She is interested in exploring how students at TRU express themselves through fashion.

Juliann Pajutagana

Multimedia Journalist, Food Section

A driven student with an interest in media literacy, digital communication, and contemporary culture

Having immersed myself in the world of entertainment improved my creativeness. I believe that modern entertainment is the universal language of our time—and being able to showcase the arts and culture scene here in Kamloops mean a lot, for it deserves the attention.
